CRUISE 3 DAYS & 2 NIGHTS – Up River | NAMKAT YORLA PA

DAY 1

LUANG PRABANG > PAK OU > PAKBENG 

LUANG PRABANG

– 7h00 –

Luang Say boat leaves Auberge Calao pier at 7h00 (please be at pier not later than 6.45 am) for a cruise up the Mekong to Pakbeng and the Luang Say Lodge. A continental breakfast is served while the boat is cruising to Pak Ou Caves.

CAVES OF THOUSAND BUDDHAS

– 8h30 –

Opposite the mouth of the Nam Ou River, near Pak Ou village, the cruise stops to visit the Tam Thing cave. Translated as Rock Cave, it is famous for housing over 2,500 Buddha statues of all sizes and for being a place of pilgrimage for locals.

LUNCH & TRADITIONAL LAOS VILLAGE

– 13h30 –

12h30 Lunch is served on board, buffet style with a selection of main course from Laos’ main culinary delights as well as a choice of dishes.
After lunch the river boat makes a stop to visit the hill tribe village of Baw, where you can watch the traditional process of making Lao whiskey.

PAKBENG

– Arrival: 17h00 –

The river cruise arrives at Luang Say Lodge near Pakbeng before sunset, giving plenty of time to refresh, enjoy the scenery of the river and admire the surrounding nature.
A Laotian dinner is served on the open-air terrace overlooking the Mekong River at 19h00.

DAY 2

PAKBENG > VILLAGE > NAMKAT YORLA PA

BREAKFAST

– 6h30 –

Mornings are special times at Luang Say Lodge with stunning sights of the peaceful neighboring mountains, often shown in mist, while a full breakfast is served on the expansive teak terrace.

POTTERY VILLAGE

– Departure: 7h30 –

Depart from Luang Say lodge to Namkat Yorla Pa, on the way will visit Ban Yor (Tai Lue) 3 hours from Pakbeng, this village does some of pottery and weaving.

LUNCH

– 12h30 –

Arrived at Namkat Yorla Pa, have lunch at the restaurant beside the swimming pool with stunning resort view and the natural stream surround.

ACTIVITY

– 14h00 –

After lunch the guests have options to join the activities in the resort (book and pay direct to resort), or visit the Kamu village and their organic farm, experience the Kamu house and their daily life of take care the organic vegetable field by seasonal, or just relaxing and refreshing before dinner with culture dance show at 19h00.

DAY 3

NAMKAT YORLA PA > LUANG PRABANG

NATURAL BREEZE

Breakfast at Nam Kat Yorla Pa the restaurant.
Guest will energize morning by the natural breeze and morning sun light with the continental buffet breakfast. The vegetable is from their organic farm.

DEPARTURE

– 8h00 –

Departure to Namkat Yorla Pa, on the way we will stop at Ban Lak 52 (Hmong village) 1.45 hours from Udomxay. You will see the daily life of the population and how they organized their village and built their houses to undergo to hot climate in summer and cold climate in winter.

LUANG PRABANG

– 12h30 –

Following a half day with beautifully sceneries of mountains, local life, the van arrives at Luang Prabang, former imperial capital of Laos.
